Firefly – Sugar Hill

Set amidst lush private gardens and exotic fruit trees, Firefly enjoys stunning views over the landscaped hillside of Sugar Hill and the Caribbean Sea beyond. It is laid out to sleep up to 10 guests in 5 double en suite bedrooms. The home offers a large central reception room leading out to an expansive covered terrace, overlooking the full size swimming pool and the west coast.

There is an air-conditioned designer kitchen with Italian granite topped units and also a separate laundry, staff room and service entrance. Originally designed as the 4th bedroom and complete with en suite bathroom and walk in closet, the air-conditioned media room leads off to the right of the reception room and opens out onto the main covered terrace.

The main house benefits from three bedrooms on the first floor, each opening through French doors to a spacious balcony providing spectacular views. All bedrooms have en suite marble bathrooms and the master suite features a separate dressing room.

A separate one-bedroom guest cottage with an en suite bathroom, kitchenette and private terrace is located in the garden. The west-facing private swimming pool and sun terrace feature a pool side dining pagoda and fitted granite-topped units.

Known as “Little England,” the island of Barbados combines British charm and Caribbean flair and is a popular gateway for visitors looking for sun, tranquil waters and vibrant nightlife.

During the day, spread out on one of the Italian loungers on the terrace overlooking the water, with a cool drink in hand, it’s the perfect spot to relax. There’s a private plunge pool on the balcony, while the complex’s shared pool offers a chance for more swimming and socializing. This outdoor space also includes an alfresco dining area for meals in the fresh air.

Sitting at over 6,000 square feet, you and your guests will have plenty of space to unwind in this upscale condo. Central air conditioning and marble floors throughout help keep the place cool, while another option is to open the living room’s doors that lead out to the terrace. The living area features stylish and comfortable furniture by designer Lynne Pemberton, while the gourmet kitchen comes well stocked with appliances large and small. Well-manicured tropical gardens surround the property allowing you to relax in absolute privacy. The villa’s wide terrace features plenty of seating on loungers with large umbrellas for added shade. Saramanda

Saramanda is a luxurious 5 bedroom villa in the heart of the Sandy Lane Estate in St James on the west coast of Barbados with a large swimming pool and exclusive access to the Sandy Lane Beach Club and all the Sandy Lane facilities including golf, tennis and the spa just a stone’s throw away.

All bedrooms are air-conditioned, with ceiling fans, en suite bathrooms, walk in closets and have TVs and telephones. Upstairs, the two large master suites feature covered private patios; on the ground floor one bedroom opens to a covered patio with access to the pool deck and gardens while the other two bedrooms have views of the gardens and grounds. The villa is spacious, with an airy main living room, comfortable media area with sofas, large screen TV and DVD player, an indoor dining for 10 and a large, fully equipped kitchen. Outside, a large outdoor deck leading to the pool is partially covered, with outdoor dining and lounging areas; the pool deck has comfortable sun loungers and beautiful gardens.

There is a separate two-car garage block with remote control doors also contains the laundry area and staff facilities. The property is fully enclosed with electronically operated gates.

The staff will prepare three meals a day for guests and we are happy to discuss dietary requirements and create menus to suit; groceries are not included. High-speed wireless ADSL Internet access and VOIP are complimentary, as are laundry services.

Guests at Saramanda have exclusive access to the private Sandy Lane Beach Club, with private parking, sun loungers (which can be booked in advance), bathroom & shower facilities as well as Wi-Fi Internet. There is also a small bar where guests may purchase drinks & lunch. Alternatively, the staff can pack a picnic lunch for guests to take with them (a cooler is provided in-house for guests to use).
