Fortlands Point on Discovery Bay

Named in reference to the colonial era, Fortlands Point villa resides at the site of the original military fortification leading into Discovery Bay. Indeed, the pronounced geography of the landscape sprawling around this magnificent estate remains a testament to the purpose of this once strategic vantage point. Today, Fortlands Point endures as an iconic spot from which to soak in the sights, sounds and smells of the Caribbean Sea, while basking in the Jamaican sun.

Neither work nor workout regime need be sacrificed at Fortlands Point. The villa comes equipped with Wi-Fi, a computer and a fitness center. The grounds offer three private white sand beaches, a swimming pool and alfresco dining areas. Cool off in the gazebo after a sea kayaking expedition or a round of squash at the on-site court. Kayaks, as well as squash and snorkeling gear, are complimentary. Full staff is also provided.

Padded rattan arm chairs and cozy couches fill the interior living areas of Fortlands Point. A formal dining room with a high arched ceiling awaits as the backdrop for many wonderful memories. The kitchen comes with a center island and top of the line appliances.

The seven bedrooms at Fortlands Point can accommodate up to ten adults and four children. Each comes with air conditioning and ceiling fan. The large bedroom on the upper level is particularly breathtaking with its crossed archways that are reminiscent of an Escher painting. The downstairs bedroom has its own verandah and is wheelchair accessible.

Aside from the cozy sumptuousness offered at Fortlands Point, the villa also serves as a spectacular setting for weddings and other special occasions for up to 75 guests. A one week rental is required for events. Nearby attractions include animal encounters at Dolphin Cove, the magical Green Grotto Caves and the historical Columbus Park.

Take a memorable vacation with the whole family at Villa Festiva. Set in a gated community, Villa Festiva has plenty of parking and serene outdoor spaces. The house opens to a large terrace with plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing, a covered sitting and dining area with barbecue and a pool and jetted tub. Inside, the villa has a TV, sound system and Wi-Fi, as well as practical features like air conditioning, ceiling fans and laundry facilities. Your stay includes daily cook service and housekeeping, so all you have to worry about is relaxing.

Bright and stylish, the villa’s interiors blend elegance and comfort. The spacious living room, which opens to the terrace via large glass doors, has two sitting areas that pair white upholstered sofas and armchairs with dark-wood accent tables. Botanical artwork and blue and white pillows and vases are breezy yet traditional. Enjoy a family dinner in the formal dining room, with cane-backed chairs and an elaborate chandelier, or in the more casual dining area, which has white bamboo chairs and a glass-topped table. The fully equipped kitchen has both state-of-the-art features like stone countertops and stainless steel appliances and playful touches like whimsical artwork.

The six bedrooms at Villa Festiva all have air conditioning and TVs. There are three master suites, each with a king bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and stand-alone tub and a sitting area. The other three bedrooms each have two queen beds and a shared bathroom.

If you’ve come to Casa de Campo for the golf, the villa is just over a half-mile from La Romana Country Club Golf Course, 1.5 miles from Dye Fore Golf Course, about 4 miles to Teeth of the Dog Golf Course and 5 miles to La Estancia Golf Club. If you’ve come for the sun and sand, it’s only 2 miles to Minitas Beach and 15.5 miles to Bayahibe Beach. You’ll find shopping and dining at the Casa de Campo marina, 1.5 miles away. From Villa Festiva, it’s 5.5 miles to La Romana and 7 miles to the La Romana airport, 48 miles to Punta Cana and 50 miles to the Punta Cana airport, 65 miles to Las Americas International Airport and 75 miles to Santo Domingo.

The modern and chic Villa K sits just steps from the water and the Anse des Cayes beach, making it easily one of our top St. Barts villas. The island of St. Barts, with perpetual sunshine, is known for its upscale appeal for being both private and prestigious and attracting the rich and famous from around the world.

Flanked by rows of swaying palm trees, the exotic wood deck stretches the length of the large heated pool—and with high walls on either side, it offers excellent privacy for you and your guests. Soak in the sun while laying on one of the many lounge chairs spread out in front of the pool underneath a palm tree. At night, entertain guests on the terrace—it’s beautifully lit.

The main living space of this two-level, fully air-conditioned home, features modern decor with a minimalist design concept and high-end furniture. Spend a relaxing holiday in this luxury home that sits upon nearly two acres of landscaped grounds. You’ll find it at the end of a gated road in the center of the renowned Sandy Lane Estate, making it one of our most private villas in Barbados. The view is top notch—the home overlooks the eighth hole of the estate’s famous golf course. The island of Barbados is known for its fine beaches, warm climate and coral reefs.

Take your pick from a variety of sun loungers surrounding the Japanese mosaic pool and jacuzzi. You could easily spend a whole day out here thanks to the facilities in two gazebos, one boasts a bar and the other a bathroom and shower. If you need some shade, head to the covered terrace where you’ll find sofas as well as a dining area for alfresco meals.

You’ll find the interior of the home equally comfortable. The open-concept main living area is done in soothing creams, blues and browns along with modern accents and plush furnishings, plus it opens up to the terrace. The contemporary kitchen comes fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops but you won’t need to worry about cooking—there’s a chef (and even a housekeeper) included in your stay.

Up to 12 guests can be accommodated on this property.
