Surrounded by verdant tropical flora, Villa Bord de Mer (BDM) is an elegant, private enclave, thoughtfully decorated in traditional Caribbean plantation style, with dark wood antiques, light fabrics and gracious curves in its classic furniture. At the same time, the luxury rental property is a convenient staging ground for afternoons in the sun and the scene on St. Jean Beach, just a one-minute stroll away, on your own private path.

Should you not what to share the sunshine, however, the villa’s pool and deck are bathed in golden rays almost all day long. The light and warmth also infuse the spacious living area, with its cool terra-cotta floors, and the gourmet kitchen, which is filled with top-notch equipment. Villa Au Soleil is a 4 bedroom villa perched on one of St Barth’s highest peaks. The magnificent view stretches across from St Jean Baie until Salines, capturing postcard vistas of azure waters, distant Islands and cruising watercraft.

Opening out onto a tropical and serene garden, the living room is the central gathering space with hallways leading to bedroom suites on each side. A fountain stream flows from the great room connecting the lily pond and a relaxing, meditation gazebo where you can enjoy views of the Caribbean.

Located high in the hilltop neighborhood of Petite Saline, Villa Gearon (GEA) offers the charm of traditional West Indies design with dramatic views of Lorient Bay and the blue ocean beyond. A wide, stone-tile terrace with a shimmering infinity pool provides chaises for sunning as well as shaded outdoor dining, with additional seating on a second terrace a few steps down from the pool.

Two separate living areas are decorated in classic tropical style, with white-cushioned rattan sofas, throw pillows of bright green and sky blue, and decorative touches like conch shells and carved parrotfish. Both of Villa Gearon’s living areas offer an unobstructed, spectacular view of the ocean and other islands in the distance. The bedrooms are nearly equal in size and amenities, all with king beds (one convertible to two twins), ensuite private baths, and sea views. The lower bedroom has its own private terrace, while the first upper bedroom boasts an extra-large bathroom.

Petite Saline is a convenient and yet quiet locale, near to the shopping center of L’Oasis and the groceries and fish market in Lorient, and just a five minute drive to the surf at Saline Beach or the calmer waters of Lorient Beach.
