Milou Hideaway

One of the most popular two-bedrooms on St. Barth, Villa Milou Hideaway (LAN) is an intimate, spectacular hideaway in Pointe Milou. Warm and inviting, it truly feels like home. This is luxury rental property with soul—as well dramatic sunset views over the Caribbean Sea. Thoughtfully designed, carefully looked after and maintained to very high standards, Villa Milou Hideaway is an ideal villa for two couples vacationing together, who desire equal-size bedrooms and superb privacy.

The villa is the quintessence of laid-back island style, filled with wicker furnishings, warm-toned wood, terra-cotta-tiled floors and pastel-color fabrics. Indoors and outdoors merge seamlessly in the comfortable living area, parts of which can be closed off and parts of which are fully free to the cooling ocean breeze. Beyond the living areas are a petite swimming pool, a deck with sunny and shaded areas, and a lawn with more sunbeds and an inviting hammock.

A galley kitchen stretches along one wall inside. The outdoor dining area is shaded and has a table that seats eight, along with those tremendous evening views. And although the sound system of top-of-the-line, you may not want to use it. The bay is so close below that the sound of waves breaking against the rocks provides a constant soothing sound track.

Located on opposite sides of the shared living areas, the two master bedrooms are the picture of Caribbean simplicity. Crisp white linens dress their elegant four-poster beds, carved of dark wood in beautiful colonial style. Both have large windowed doors that can be opened directly onto the terrace. You can close them and sleep in air-conditioned comfort, or you can leave them open and turn on the ceiling fan and fall asleep to the feel of the breeze and sound of the waves, and awaken to the gradual lightening of the morning sky.
