Overlooking the waters of Peter Bay, a grand courtyard entrance welcomes you to Seacove villa. Set within lush landscaping that showcases bananas, lime, papayas, coconut palms and a soothing garden waterfall, you have surely entered this cove for nothing but sublime relaxation. Stairs lead to Seacove’s lower level and to its second living area equipped with a large screen HDTV, wet bar and mini-fridge. This area opens directly out to a covered terrace bordered by the heated pool. You will enjoy all of the lovely alfresco lounging and dining options. Indoors, adjoining the great room, is the air-conditioned media room featuring furnished down-filled sofas and beautifully handcrafted woodwork. Baby equipment, Wi-Fi access and purified water are included with your reservation.

The main villa is an architectural masterpiece of polished coral stone floors, carved pillars and dramatic archways set against an artistic counterpoint of native blue bit stone walls inlaid with seashells from around the world. On the main level, the spacious great room’s high ceilings, custom hand-carved cypress furniture and sectional sofas share space with dining areas and a wonderful custom kitchen. French doors open out to Seacove’s upper terrace which overlooks the enchanting ocean.

Five spectacular bedrooms accommodate up to twelve guests at Seacove. All of the bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and satellite TV. The king master suite adjoins a separate office with MAC computer and a fax/copier/printer. A fabulous his-and-hers master bathroom/dressing room completes this lavish suite. The second and third bedrooms are situated on opposite sides of the pool terrace. Across the courtyard is the two-story gatehouse, each level offering a queen suite.

Rivendell Villa

Secluded and elegant, Rivendell Villa offers unforgettable views over Peter Bay and European-style architecture. A sunny terrace, shuttered windows and wrought-iron balcony are sophisticated enough for the Riviera, but lush surroundings and a view of turquoise waters situate the four-bedroom villa firmly in the Caribbean, as do three beaches within a short drive.

The centerpiece of Rivendell Villa is a large, Tuscan-style brick terrace with ocean views. There, you’ll find an infinity pool, hot tub, welcoming row of chaise longues, covered dining table and a gazebo with a gas barbecue, outdoor kitchen and shaded lounge area perfect for lemonade or cocktails. After a day by the pool or at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower, relax around the TV and stay in touch via Wi-Fi. For your comfort, the villa has a washer, hairdryer, ceiling fans and air conditioning.

Inside, the villa is gracious and traditional, laid out around an airy great room. Terracotta floors and white walls are a cool backdrop for slipcovered white sofas and armchairs, a palm-print chaise and a turned-leg games table. The adjacent dining room has dramatic natural stone walls and a long glass-topped table that seats six, and the fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and a charming mix of gleaming stainless steel appliances and old-fashioned louvered cabinet doors.

The four bedrooms at Rivendell Villa all have bay views and ceiling fans and open to a patio or balcony. There are two bedrooms with king beds that open to the patio, one bedroom with a queen bed and patio access and one bedroom with two twin beds and balcony access. Four and a half bathrooms ensure privacy and create a luxe tropical vibe with beamed ceilings and brightly colored tile.

During your stay, take time to explore Virgin Islands National Park, just over 3 miles from the villa, Hawk’s Nest Bay Beach, about 4 miles away, Salomon Beach, 5.5 miles away, and Trunk Bay, 6 miles away. You’ll find shopping and dining in Cruz Bay, a 5-mile drive, and Coral Bay, about a 5.5-mile drive, and connections at the St. John Ferry Terminal, a 5-mile drive. To reach Rivendell, it’s a 10-mile journey from the Cyril E. King Airport to the Redhook Bay Ferry Dock on St. Thomas, 4 miles from the Redhook Bay Ferry Dock to the Cruz Bay Ferry Dock, and about 4 miles from the Cruz Bay Ferry Dock to the villa.

2B at Peter Bay

Indoors, you will find a home entertainment system with satellite TV, a DVD player with movie collection and an iPod dock, as well as books and games, and Wi-Fi.

All four of the bedroom suites in 2B at Peter Bay are widely separated for exceptional privacy. 2B’s suites are air conditioned, fully screened, and each has a private balcony from which to savor the wide-angled ocean views. This villa welcomes eight guests including children, but due to its many levels may not be ideal for families with toddlers or small children, or guests with reduced mobility.
