Your stay at Whispering Palms starts when you’re greeted at the airport by resort staff. After whisking you to the private island on which the resort is located, they’ll leave you to discover the villa’s private infinity pool and terrace with chaise longues for sunbathing and shaded al-fresco dining area. Drive the complimentary golf cart around the resort to explore the beaches, pools and fitness and tennis facilities, or borrow a bicycle to pedal from the croquet lawn to the putting green. Meals and beverages are included in your stay, as is access to a kids’ program.

The spacious interiors of Whispering Palms are a comfortable blend of traditional Caribbean charm and streamlined modern style. In the great room, fresh white vaulted ceilings and walls create an open, airy atmosphere that’s matched by wicker sofas and chairs with botanical-print or white upholstery and colorful artwork. Although meals at the resort are included in your stay, the villa has a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, a formal dining area and banquette seating for casual meals.

Each of the villa’s four bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV and air conditioning. To leave the private island where Jumby Bay Resort is located, make the 9-minute walk to the ferry and the 7-minute ferry ride to Antigua.
